This Studio Works particularly close with the Housing + Community Design Studio, to make sure as many crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) techniques are incorporated into all proposed community level physical enhancements.

Liquid Studios, under the parent company of MXD, has been conducting crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) analyses, recommendations, and trainings since the mid-1990s.

The Studio incoporates  the four basic principles of CPTED (i.e. access control, surveillance, territorial reinforcement and maintenance) into all of its  safety analysis projects. The studio has also incorporated the element of "management" into CPTED implementation strategies.
