Marketing Plan and Branding Identiy - Police Institute - Diversity Marketing & Communications

The Challenge
The Police Institute was created as a partnership in 2001 between the State of New Jersey and Rutgers University to integrate research, teaching, problem solving and criminal justice practice within the University, New Jersey and society.

Diversity Marketing and Communications was retained to develop a two-year marketing plan that included a new logo and brand identity through high-impact collateral materials.

Diversity conducted telephone and in-person interviews with criminal justice professionals, social workers, religious leaders, elected officials, forensics experts, community leaders and other stakeholders to gain their insight and input in developing a plan and identity for the Police Institute.

DMC formed new strategic partnerships with these groups and individuals and helped secure frequent media placements that enhanced its visibility and stature, and assisted in strengthening its relationships within the University.

The firm also organized media events on behalf of the Institute, including the launch of two major anti-crime campaigns.
