Edward W. Bowen, Jr., is the founder and principal of E.W. Bowen & Company, a recognized leader in providing strategies and solutions for today’s complex real estate market.  Bowen established E.W. Bowen Company in 1983 to provide strategic real estate solutions that address the unique conditions impacting today’s organizations.  E.W. Bowen combines extensive experience in the private sector with an approach designed specifically to help clients meet both short and long-term business and operational goals.

Bowen established a real estate partnership to develop Guilford Forest a swim-tennis community in southwest Atlanta.  The project was recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 1985 as the development of the year for South Fulton County.

Ed’s numerous experiences include the development of Atlanta’s $60 million Pretrial Detention Center and the $55 million Atlanta City Court Additionally, Mr. Bowen was a member of the management team that developed the $260 million Sam Nunn Federal Center.

In 1995, Bowen founded Alliance Management and Leasing. Alliance managed over 3 million square feet of investment-grade properties for two of the nation’s largest public pension funds – California Public Employees Retirement System and the New York Common Fund.

E. W. Bowen & Co. was selected by the Atlanta Housing Authority as co-developer of a Hope VI 45 acre former public housing site. Collegetown at West End will feature mixed-income multifamily rental and for sale housing. It will contain 400 unit mix of flats, townhouses, duplex and single family units as well as 25,000 square feet of retail and a hotel conference center.
