Laura Keyes

Laura Keyes is an AICP-certified planner and now manages the Community Development Unit in ARC’s Aging Division. Prior to this recent promotion, she worked for the Atlanta Regional Commission in the transportation planning division since 1999.  Laura is now working to advance the Aging Division’s lifelong community principles through a range of housing and transportation initiatives to support the needs of older adults.

Prior to coming to ARC, she worked in transportation and air quality planning for both the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Business Coalition, and served as a lobbyist for the Michigan Chapter of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.  She holds a Bachelors of Science in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Michigan, and a Masters of Science from the School of Agriculture at Michigan State University.

Laura serves as the Vice President of Chapter Services for the Georgia Planning Association.  She also serves on the Executive Committee for St. Thomas More Catholic School PTO and is an active volunteer at Briarcliff Haven Nursing Home.
