Wynecta Fisher

Wynecta Fisher focuses on training, capacity building and public outreach in the environmental space.

Since the early 2000's Wynecta has been in solid and hazardous waste operations, training, Brownfields project management, point and non-point source pollution prevention, environmental justice, consensus building, and environmental regulations and compliance.  Ms. Fisher is also the former Director of the Mayor's Office of Environmental Affairs (City of New Orleans) and a firm believer in seeing issues from the perspectives of diverse constituencies.

Since Hurricane Katrina, Ms. Fisher has focused on researching and using mechanisms to deter the depletion of the city's natural coastal barriers and ensure that environmental justice issues were addressed during the city's planning and rebuilding phases. Ms. Fisher's hybrid business and municipal government experience allowed her to engage stakeholders in collaborative discussions around the revitalization of New Orleans.

Ms. Fisher is a Supply Corps Officer at the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, MS with NCHB-Thirteen.  She serves as a Company Commander for two units.

Ms. Fisher holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Clark Atlanta University, where she studied public relations and business.
