Donna-Marie C Winn, Ph.D.

Dr. Winn is Senior Research Associate at the Kenan Institute for Private Entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). She is founder and CEO of Kaleidoscope Pathways, LLC, a strategic planning, evaluation and research firm.  

Her areas of expertise include research, evaluation, and program development. All of her work is informed by an understanding of how race, ethnicity, culture, and community context influence mental resilience and academic achievement. 

Since the mid-1990s Dr. Winn has been a licensed clinical psychologist and an evaluator. She has led and co-led numerous multi-site randomized clinical research trials, and organizational and place-based evaluations. She has authored numerous refereed articles and has conducted over 200 workshops, presentations, lectures, and groups throughout the United States and in Canada, England, France, Italy, Portugal, and Ghana.

Dr. Winn earned her B.A. in psychology and program administration from Notre Dame, M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a minor in organizational business from UNC-CH and post-doctorate in clinical research from Duke University.
