Ruby Haughton-Pitts

Ruby Haughton-Pitts is the Principal of R. Haughton-Pitts Communications (RHP). RHP provides public affairs, public relations, intercultural communications and marketing services to non-profit and governmental agencies.

Over the course of her career, Haughton-Pitts served as a political strategist developing successful policy and system change efforts; built broad-based coalitions; managed complex internal and external communication programs; and worked on a variety of social marketing and fundraising campaigns. She also lobbied in the 11 western states and our Nation’s Capitol on behalf of US Bank and Bank of America.

Haughton-Pitts has over 20 years experience in strategic communications in financial services, healthcare and non-profit environments. She has provided public affairs, media relations, and community advocacy assistance to the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies Health Policy Institute’s National Place Matters Initiative that is funded by the Kellogg Foundation and OCHIN a national non-profit health information technology collaborative, principally funded by HRSA.

Most of her consulting activities are focused in the areas of social change and healthcare reform on behalf of non-profit clients throughout the United States.
