Deeneaus Polk

Deeneaus Polk is a Policy Analyst for the Mississippi Economic Policy Center (MEPC). As a Policy Analyst, Mr. Polk primarily focuses on workforce development, higher education access and completion, family economic security, public outreach, and other policy issues that impact working poor families.

Before coming to MEPC, Deeneaus was a Fulbright Scholar in Germany, teaching English at the Hans-Böckler Schule in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He also worked for the Institut für Berufliche Bildung with the workforce development group. Deeneaus also worked with the Department of State in their Frankfurt am Main Consulate.

Prior to MEPC, Deeneaus worked with the Pascagoula Chevron Refinery where he was a Technical Services Coordinator of security and business intelligence within the Emergency Services department.

Deeneaus attended the University of Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and German. Deeneaus is a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar, Institute for International Public Policy Fellow, and Fulbright Alumni Ambassador.
